— Haven Home Design

Haven Home Design is an owner-operated residential design and drafting business located in Cupar, Saskatchewan. We are looking for an organized, self-motivated Architectural Technologist to become a key member of our team.

This is primarily a remote position, ideal for someone who values independence, flexibility, and a healthy work-life balance. The position will begin as an 8-month temporary, part-time role at approximately 15–20+ hours per week (with seasonal variance). There is the possibility of permanent employment for the right candidate.

This is an important role within our business. Your experience, ideas, and input will help shape not only our projects, but also the future of Haven Home Design.

The Role

As a member of our team, you will work on a variety of residential projects throughout Saskatchewan. Your primary focus will be developing accurate, detailed, permit-ready construction drawings, ensuring our projects meet applicable building code and regulatory requirements.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is highly detail-oriented, takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, and has a genuine interest in building code, construction, and residential design.

Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing detailed, permit-ready construction drawings

Reviewing projects for compliance with applicable municipal bylaws and permitting requirements
Coordinating with engineers, energy consultants, contractors, and other project professionals

Taking increasing ownership of projects from design through completion

As you gain experience with our projects and demonstrate strong technical judgment and reliability, there will be opportunities to become more involved in design development, client communication, site visits, and project coordination.
